PERSONAL BRANDING PHOTOGRAPHY - Feat. J&M HERBALS, a story of love and healing.
I had the pleasure to produce personal branding photography for James and Mariela, a lovely and powerful husband and wife, founders of J&M HERBALS. An amazing and flourishing CBD company based in Williams. CA. It all started when in early 2016 Mariela began researching on medical cannabis to help ease her husband's pain caused by a rare condition called Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), which is a type of inflammatory arthritis that affects the spine and large joints. By the end of that same year, after a detailed research Mariela finally put all the natural oils and herbs together to make the first salve. With regular applications, the salve helped alleviate James’ pain and inflammation to the point that he was finally able to stop taking his prescribed, monthly medications. After seeing the amazing results not only in James but in the relatives and friends they shared the salve with, the request for more salve started knocking their doors. Mariela continued making the salve and researching and experimenting with better formulations. By 2019 Mariela decided to quit her law enforcement job to put all of her love and attention into their new small business. Since the foundation of J&M Herbals Mariela and james have been assisting others find relief from chronic pain through CBD products and education.
Mariela and James are certified CBD Consultants and Practitioners. James is in charge of growing cannabis organically with 100% organic soil and fertilizers, he also sources essential oils from small family-oriented farmers that believe in organic farming and small batches. Mariela is a powerhouse that runs everything related to post processing, logistics, admin and on top of that she is also the alchemist behind all the topicals.
It was such a pleasure to get to know and photograph this amazing couple. Through this photo session I was able to witness the love and passion they put into their business and I am very excited to see what the future holds for J&M herbals.
